aka Trot on, millennial
So, the feminists never joined, those with ‘socially conservative views’ jumped ship before conference, and anyone who’s not keen on the SWP or the ‘trans liberation’ agenda were ready to walk by the end of it.
But a fair few of us are hanging on, in the hopes of getting an opportunity to elect a leader with what it takes to build, rather than drive constant wedges into, a movement and quite honestly, my hopes went up, not down, when I saw this…

Why did my hopes go up? Well, things did look bad after conference. In my opinion (and this is a personal opinion) it was mainly because all the early problems had led us into a conference that was way too SWP-heavy to be the start of something electable but, I think the SWP are to a great extent the Sultana faction and you know what, a lot of them are around my age so I rather think she’s just driven a wedge into her last remaining fan-base.
I wonder if team-Sultana know why we’re called ‘boomers’. It’s in the name, folks. As children of the post-war baby-boom, the one thing we really have in common is that there are a lot of us but, what is most politically significant, is that we’re the generation who really got the hang of things like turning up to rallies, helping to deliver leaflets and, above all, VOTING.
There are enough of us, even in the tragically mis-named ‘Your Party’, to get together and say okay, millennial, you’re a great activist and all, but stand aside now please, we are looking for some party leaders who know what they’re doing.
