Reassurance For Helena Dollimore MP

NOT WANTED: Helena Dollimore MP

Okay, I’m sorry – it’s a joke. Apparently, Ms Dollimore was very upset by the ‘WANTED’ poster that’s been posted around the town, the one that reads WANTED: a straight answer from Helena Dollimore so I thought I’d give her a bit of reassurance after the style of Dennis Skinner’s famous retraction.

(You remember – that one where he was asked to take back his statement that half the Tories in the House were criminals….)

Hastings, like many towns, voted Labour ‘to get the Tories out’, and has been badly upset to find that Labour ARE the Tories. In the time since that General Election, Ms Dollimore has reacted to the right winger Liz Kendal’s attack on disabled people by signing a letter encouraging her to go further.

She has also signed a letter calling for weapons of war to be listed as an ‘ethical investment’.

Perhaps worst of all, she has persistently spoken in line with Starmer’s false equivalence between Palestinian and Israeli actions, a strategy that has allowed Israel to continue its hellish onslaught against the people of Palestine way beyond the standard definition of genocide.

This, despite the fact that Israel is a well-tooled up, high-tech nuclear state, generously funded, aided and equipped by the USA, the UK and Germany, whereas Palestine is a fragmented, illegally occupied state, thousands of whose citizens are illegally held hostage in Israel’s barbaric prisons.

Well – I leave it to you. Council Leaderish Glenn Haffenden says it’s a personal attack, others say it’s not. Here’s the poster….

WANTED: A straight answer from mp for Hastings and Rye Helena Dollimore

….do you think it’s a personal attack, or do you think it’s a reasonable if somewhat exasperated demand of your political representative? If you’d like to join me in offering Dollimore reassurance, please feel free to click on and save the image below, and share it wherever you like.

One response to “Reassurance For Helena Dollimore MP”

  1. “Do you condemn Israels genocide should be a question asked of every UK politician?” Incidentally Ive been in touch with my own MP on Gaza only to receive a somewhat haughty response. All MPs need to support Palestinians if they care about Justice and human rights.
